Meet the Doctors

Dr. Jennifer McCartney, spent most of her life in Northern Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Health Science degree from Grand Valley State University. She later went on to attend Blue Heron Academy of Healing Arts and Sciences to become a massage therapist. 
 
In 2005, while working as a massage therapist in a chiropractic office, she received her first adjustment. After only two adjustments, the migraines she had been suffering from were gone. It was then that she discovered her passion for natural healing. Dr. McCartney received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic of Florida in 2009. Upon graduation, she returned to Michigan to begin practicing and to be closer to her family.
 
Dr. McCartney joined us in 2018 from Optimal Wellness Family Chiropractic in Royal Oak where she practiced for 7 years. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and Michigan Association of Chiropractors. She is certified in the Webster Technique and in Chiropractic Pediatrics through the ICPA. Dr. McCartney is passionate about chiropractic and helping families to be well. She treats everyone, infants to seniors. She believes in educating her patients so that they can live the healthiest life possible.

Dr. Matthew McCartney is very passionate about health, fitness and chiropractic. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.S. in Health Sciences. While wrestling for CMU during his junior year, he experienced a traumatic injury. He herniated multiple discs in his neck and was told by doctors that he would need months of physical therapy and possible surgery. He was also told to give chiropractic “a try.”  So he did try chiropractic and the results were incredible. Within two weeks his pain was gone. From that point on, he knew he wanted to be a chiropractor. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida in 2009 and has helped thousands of people get well since.

In an effort to help more people with chronic illnesses who were not responding to traditional chiropractic care or western medicine, Dr. McCartney took on additional coursework to become certified in Functional Medicine. Functional medicine had personally helped him with some chronic conditions in the past and he has been passionate about it ever since.  Functional medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease.  
Dr. McCartney is a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and is also certified in the Webster Technique.
